The name of Georgy Isidorovich Polonsky (1939–2001) is well known thanks to films based on his scripts: “We'll Live Until Monday” (1968), “The Non-Transferable Key” (1972), “Don’t Leave...” (1989). But Polonsky’s texts are valuable in themselves - they are mesmerizing, they are distinguished by virtuoso precision of dramaturgy: under the influence of small, sand-like events, the characters in his stories change, the truth is imperceptibly deformed... An incredible effort may be required to preserve oneself, to go against, to overcome fear or pain. Polonsky’s fictional worlds (the kingdoms of Abidonia or Puffy Peronia, for example) are also devoid of this sweetness; it is not without reason that his fairy tales are for adults. Книга Георгія Ісидоровича Полонського "Доживемо до понеділка. Ключ без права передачі" є справжнім шедевром, який вражає своєю глибиною та емоційною насиченістю. Полонський майстерно створює персонажів, які живуть у світі, де маленькі події можуть кардинально змінити їхнє життя. Його тексти переповнені філософськими роздумами про людську природу, страхи та мрії, що робить їх надзвичайно актуальними навіть сьогодні. Читання цієї книги – це як подорож у світ, де кожен герой стикається з власними демонами, і не завжди виходить переможцем. Особливо вражає, як автор вміло поєднує реальність з елементами казки, створюючи унікальну атмосферу. Хоча переклад іноді має недоліки, це не зменшує загальної цінності твору. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує якісну літературу і готовий поринути у світ складних людських переживань!
