A new book by a famous fashion historian is dedicated to Lyudmila Lopato, who in the 40s of the last century was called the queen of Parisian cabarets - the most Russian of Parisians and the most charming Parisian of Russians. She was familiar with Kshesinskaya, Prince Yusupov, Anna Pavlova, Chaliapin, Vertinsky, Galich, Nuriev... She opened the Russian Pavilion restaurant in Paris near the Champs Elysees, beloved by both the elite and the bohemian. Her lively story with comments by Alexander Vasilyev recreates the atmosphere in which people who were forced to leave Russia after the revolution, but who preserved its theatrical, musical and even gastronomic traditions, lived and worked.
