Ця книга стала для мене не лише джерелом знань про віскокурні та різновиди шотландського віскі, але й справжнім культурним досвідом. Автор вдало поєднує історичні факти з особистими спостереженнями, що робить текст живим і захоплюючим. Я дізнався багато нового про традиції виробництва, етапи виготовлення та навіть про вплив природних умов на смак віскі. Особливо сподобалися розділи, присвячені окремим віскокурням, де детально описуються їхні унікальні особливості та продукція. Хоча переклад тексту місцями може бути не зовсім ідеальним, це не заважає насолоджуватися читанням.
