Автор майстерно відтворює атмосферу того часу, занурюючи читача в жахи масової різанини гугенотів, що стала наслідком політичних інтриг та релігійних конфліктів. Опис подій настільки детальний і емоційний, що ви немов стаєте свідком тих жахливих моментів. Хоча переклад, виконаний за допомогою штучного інтелекту, має свої недоліки, загалом він досить якісний і не заважає сприйняттю тексту.
