Far from the galactic centers on the remote planet Wasteland, or Poltergeist, people live in truly hothouse conditions. Reality and the game are intertwined in their minds. But suddenly their life turned upside down poses the question to the inhabitants of Poltergeist: are they able to defend their freedom in real battles, when friends die nearby, monstrous combat robots destroy not imaginary, but their homes and “reboot” the game impossible?

Автор майстерно описує життя людей на планеті Пустош, які, здавалося б, живуть у раю, але насправді їхнє існування є ілюзією, що ховає глибші проблеми. Цікаво спостерігати, як герої намагаються знайти баланс між реальністю та віртуальними розвагами, і як це впливає на їхнє сприйняття світу. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до деяких недоліків у формулюваннях, загальна якість перекладу не заважає насолоджуватися сюжетом. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить наукову фантастику та роздуми про природу реальності!
