Talking about death and suicide means breaking taboos. Revealing long-silent topics requires considerable effort, and the more reliable the locks that hide them from the demanding mind, the more persistently one has to act. The author of this short book offers his own approach to this issue. He explores not the possibilities of preventing suicide, but the experience of death, and approaches the problem of suicide not from the points of view of life, society and “mental health,” but from the position of a person’s relationship to death and the soul. He views suicide not only as leaving life, but also as entering death.
