The lighthouse stands by the sea. It's a common thing, you say. But the lighthouse where red-haired Edwin and Elsa live is not just by the sea - it is almost at the very edge of the world. And when Edwin suddenly sets sail, Elsa is left on the distant northern shore all alone. Okay, not really: with her is a wolf named Kulik-Soroka and a certain Kaporyak in a bottle. Kaporyak in a bottle is not a toy or a statue, it’s just an old acquaintance of Edwin’s, sending letters by bottle mail. And red-haired Edwin? He is on his way, the waves are raging overboard. He speaks to a ship named "Antony and Sweet N." He even colludes with them. Who is this “with them” with? With Anthony and Sweet N., of course: he asks them to help him in one extremely important matter. (Spoiler: they will definitely help, but you will still be surprised.) Everything in Maria Boteva’s new story is surprising: the lives of the characters, the storytelling style, and the chain of plot twists. The reader is in for an exciting journey across the open sea, with the obligatory fog and storm - is there really a voyage without a storm? But through the darkness and spray, every now and then a light peeks through - flickering, weak: it seems that this lighthouse has not been closed for repairs for a long time. But the heroes of the book need it - and it simply cannot fall to pieces, despite all the storms and bad weather.
