The disaster novel begins with the fact that on a Saturday night in April, at the same time, the entire adult population of the planet went crazy and began to kill their children in the most cruel ways. Those who did not have children killed everyone who was under twenty. The few surviving teenagers are hiding from the distraught adults, who now flock in packs, lay out giant crosses from empty bottles in the middle of the fields and continue to pursue the children. Nick survived, as did several of his random fellow travelers. Their life turned into a constant run from a crowd of ruthless killers, in whom they recognized their yesterday's parents.

This is terrifying. It's fascinating. Blood literally oozes from the pages of the book. If you have strong nerves and good relationships with your family, then feel free to read this novel... Simon Clarke is the greatest genius of modern horror. His fears do not just frighten the reader, they touch him, envelop him and really choke him.
