The very title of the novel – Adamantine Irmos or Chronicles of Ongon – is literally translated as “The Diamond Psalm or Chronicles of Hellfire.” Can a church hymn be made of diamond? And can it sparkle with hellish fire, for example, during the liturgy? The whole question is from what angle to look at it. After all, it has long been known that hellish fire very often burns a person from the inside. This happened to one Christian priest just during the Divine service. We encounter miracles every day, but we don’t want to see anything, they say, there can be nothing that a person cannot explain. And yet people feel access to the energy of the Cosmos. Especially among worldly people, writers, musicians, poets, and artists are disposed to this. Simply because they have a shorter connection with the parallel Looking Glass, thanks to their spiritual talent. That's why strange things happen to the hero of the novel. Why this is so - no one has yet been able to answer, but this book, perhaps, will lift the veil of Truth, inaccessible to human understanding. The hero has to travel through the burnt novels of various writers. By the way, miraculously surviving quotes from long-burnt novels are printed in italics.
