The main character is Cale Rendor, a native of the planet Moros, where the best warriors in the galaxy are raised - legionnaires. When an unknown enemy destroys his home planet without warning, he, by a lucky coincidence, escapes death. Trying to understand the reasons for what happened, he follows the trail of a mysterious person called the Dictator of the Galaxy, but no one knows who he is or what his motivation is. On the way to the solution, he is accompanied by a creature from another world, and he himself undergoes serious physiological changes.
