The book by the famous Neoplatonist philosopher Iamblichus of Chalcis (c. 242-306) is dedicated to the life and teachings of Pythagoras, one of the most mysterious philosophers, mystics and sages of Ancient Greece. Iamblichus is the author of the treatise “On the Egyptian Mysteries,” many works devoted to the symbolism of the gods, and commentaries on the works of Plato and Aristotle. Translation: B.
