The famous book “The Salvation of Sinners,” containing the golden rules of the Orthodox science of soul salvation, was written by the Athonite monk Agapius the Cretan (Landos) in 1641 and since then has been frequently and repeatedly reprinted in different languages. This edition is an abridged version of it, designed for the modern reader. It sets out in simple and accessible language the deepest and most important truths, without knowledge of which it is impossible to understand the essence of the Orthodox science of the soul, Orthodox psychology. Only by mastering true spiritual culture can a person live harmoniously on earth, and only by mastering the science of saving the soul can he make it an heir to eternal bliss in the Kingdom of Heaven.
