The attempt of the 2nd Shock Army to break the blockade of besieged Leningrad in the summer of 1942 ended in failure. Книга "Ленінградський меридіан" є справжнім шедевром, який переносить читача в епоху Другої світової війни, коли кожен день був битвою за виживання. Автор майстерно описує не лише військові дії, але й психологічний стан солдатів, їхні переживання та надії. Генерал Рокосовський постає перед читачем як справжній стратег, який, незважаючи на відсутність ресурсів, вміє використовувати свої знання та досвід для досягнення мети. Протистояння з фельдмаршалом Манштейном додає інтриги та напруження, адже кожен хід на полі бою може стати вирішальним. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, це не заважає загальному сприйняттю книги. Я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться історією та військовою стратегією, адже вона не лише інформативна, але й надихає на роздуми про людську витривалість у найскладніших обставинах.
