Thinking about the meaning of life and one’s place under the sun, which, as we know, does not shine equally for everyone, leads to Venilin going on a journey between time and space. Fate confronts him with various extraordinary characters who exist outside of physical laws and contrary to the materialistic understanding of the universe. Venechka draws strength from deciphering an ancient manuscript, the translation of which only he can do, although not without the help of mysterious and supernatural forces. Years later, poems by an unknown author emerge in the minds of Venilin, a son of his time and a hippie father. He does not understand where they come from and simply writes down the lines that excite him without a specific desire or goal, although both clearly appear to have a certain meaning. Parallel to the modern world, there is another hero - eternal lieutenant Alexander Steinz. The officer finds himself in bloody battles that befell the Russian people at different times and historical formations.
