The monograph is devoted to the confrontation between the Soviet and Japanese intelligence services in the period 1918–1945. The efforts of the USSR state security agencies at this time were aimed primarily at preventing and suppressing the reconnaissance and subversive activities of the Japanese special services, as well as the sabotage and terrorist activities of the nationalist underground in the Far East. The book is intended for everyone interested in the history of Soviet-Japanese relations in the 20th century. The text is presented in the author's edition.

Автор детально аналізує різноманітні аспекти діяльності ОГПУ та НКДБ, розкриваючи їх стратегії, методи роботи та успіхи у боротьбі проти японських розвідувальних агентств. Книга наповнена цікавими фактами та маловідомими деталями, які дозволяють читачеві краще зрозуміти складну історію цього періоду. Хоча переклад тексту іноді залишає бажати кращого, загальна якість викладу та глибина дослідження компенсують ці недоліки. Рекомендую цю монографію всім, хто цікавиться історією спецслужб, міжнародними відносинами та політичною історією XX століття!
