The stories in the collection “Spring in Fialta” are a brilliant example of the relatively “late” period of Nabokov’s work, a period marked by the most interesting stylistic features. Here Nabokov's prose again - for the first time in decades - enters its "realistic" phase - however, in a form that is already deeply mature, wise, and philosophical.
