The literary archive of masters of art is small. As a rule, artists are at odds with words. However, there are exceptions. Among them, in one of the very first places are Van Gogh's letters. Ця книга - справжнє відкриття для всіх, хто захоплюється творчістю Ван Гога. Листи художника, що увійшли до видання, не лише розкривають його внутрішній світ, але й дозволяють глибше зрозуміти його картини, які стали знаковими в історії мистецтва. Ван Гог пише про свої переживання, натхнення та боротьбу, і ці слова наповнені емоціями, які неможливо не відчути. Важливою частиною книги є малюнки, які додають ще більше контексту до його листів, а репродукції картин дозволяють поринути у світ його творчості. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, загальна якість видання вражає, і я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто хоче краще зрозуміти не тільки Ван Гога як художника, а й як людину, що пережила багато труднощів у своєму житті. Це не просто книга, а справжній літературний та мистецький скарб, який варто мати в своїй бібліотеці!
