Master Chen is the pseudonym of a completely Russian person, Dmitry Kosyrev. He has published five novels and a collection of short stories under it, and is now preparing a new novel for publication, where the action will take place anywhere but in Asia. Dmitry Kosyrev is an orientalist, a graduate of the Institute of Asian and African Studies at Moscow State University, as a journalist and in other capacities he worked in China, India, and the countries of Southeast Asia and continues to visit them with enviable regularity. However, as can be seen from this story, he is not so unfamiliar with Europe either.
