The Outposter. 1972. Other names: Sentinel, Space Patrol. Due to the overpopulation of the planet, earthlings are forcibly sent to distant colonies, leaving them without support and protection (“Space Patrol”). The troops of the highly developed aggressive civilization Meda V'Dan, roaming the universe, take advantage of this. A resident of one of the colonies, Mark Roose, having miraculously survived the next raid of the aggressors, decides to put an end to this. But, oddly enough, the most difficult battles await him on Earth. The classic Dixon theme of responsibility and sense of duty. Responsibility makes the border guards a new aristocracy. In an effort to protect his subordinate colonists, the border guard begins a war with a hostile civilization, although for the sake of this he has to break with the cautious rulers of the Earth.
