Two young telepaths - Rob and Leah (Lianna) - are carrying out an important and secret mission on a distant planet. They need to find out why an increasing number of earthly colonists are converting to a local religion, which, in theory, should cause sharp disgust in any normal person. An alien cult is deeply rooted in local biology, history and culture - but to an outsider's eye it is indeed more exotic nowhere! The sacred creatures in it are huge jelly-like parasitic slugs that stick to the skull of the “convert” and literally drink all the juices from it.
