A series of translated action-packed psychological detective novels (sometimes with an admixture of mysticism), which gained fame as bestsellers in their homeland in Denmark; was opened in the wake of the success of Swedish writer Stieg Larsson's signature series, Millennium, and the dust jackets of the first published books bore (perhaps erroneously) a similar title.
