English writer Diana Wynne Jones is considered the last great storyteller. The worlds of her books are so vivid that they just beg to be shown on screen. Based on her best-selling book Howl's Moving Castle, the famous animator Hayao Miyazaki, winner of the Golden Lion, the highest award at the Venice Film Festival, made an animated film of the same name, which gained popularity in many countries. Christopher Chant is a very unusual boy, but he doesn't know it yet. He is very lonely in the world: he rarely sees his mother, and his father even less often, and both are so prim and so busy with their own affairs that they might as well run out of the house. But there's not much escape from a huge, opulent mansion in London. And then Christopher begins to travel through different worlds—in his dreams. At least for the time being, he is sure that he is in a dream. It is there, in the neighboring worlds, that he is destined to find new friends, including the slightly mysterious Tacroy, the sorceress girl Ashet (the living personification of the ancient goddess), locked in a marble temple full of cats, and the menacing ginger cat Throgmorten. He will also have to get involved in many adventures at once and find out what Chrestomansi, the main wizard of all worlds, has to do with his wanderings.
