From the translator: The book “The Moment” was first published in Polish in 2000 and is a collection of essays specially written for the book, in which Stanislaw Lem compares “both of his essayistic works, namely “The Sum of Technology” and “Dialogues” “, with the real situation of the beginning of the 21st century and the emerging new areas of human activity and knowledge.” Published in Russian for the first time (except for the essay “Robotics”, published in Computer Newspaper (2000).)
