Ranchin A. M. “Vertograd Zlatoslovny: Old Russian bookishness in interpretations, analyzes and comments.” The works included in the book are devoted to the study of the poetics of Old Russian literature and historiosophical ideas expressed in Old Russian monuments and which determined the features of their structure and style. Some works are polemical in nature. The range of works analyzed is from the Tale of Bygone Years and hagiography of the Kyiv period to the Life of Archpriest Avvakum. Particular attention is paid to the monuments of the Boris and Gleb cycle, the history of their creation and their artistic features; The lives of Saints Boris and Gleb are considered in comparison with their Slavic, Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian counterparts.
