The book by Polish theologian and historian Julian Grzesik is originally called “Aliyah of Israel.” “Aliyah” is Hebrew for “ascent.” The author uses this word both literally and allegorically, denoting not only the return of the Jews to Israel, but also the elevation of the soul of the people, striving to find their God and reunite with him. Julian Grzesik's book is a most interesting and comprehensive source of information on the history of the Jewish people from the time of the Jewish War against Rome (66–73 AD) to the present day. Автор майстерно поєднує історичні факти з біблійними пророцтвами, що дозволяє читачеві краще зрозуміти, як ці два аспекти переплітаються в долі євреїв. Книга охоплює широкий період часу, починаючи з Іудейської війни проти Риму і закінчуючи сучасністю, що робить її цілісним джерелом знань. Особливо вражає, як автор вміло передає глибину духовного пошуку народу, який прагне знайти свого Бога.
