The Dictionary of Chekhov's Aphorisms is a collection of wise thoughts and advice, apt sayings and literary quotes from the classic of Russian literature, many of which must be viewed through the prism of Chekhov's bright and invigorating humor. Also included are “winged words” such as a horse’s name, a lady with a dog, non-commissioned officer Prishibeev and figurative expressions (an intelligent log, a retired slave, etc.) from the works of A.P. Chekhov, an outstanding master of the Russian word.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
