"Руїни" Скотта Сміта - це справжній шедевр, який знову підтверджує талант автора створювати напружену атмосферу та захоплюючий сюжет. Від самого початку читач занурюється у світ чотирьох американців, які вирушають у подорож Мексикою, і вже незабаром стикаються з жахливими та непередбачуваними подіями в джунглях. Сміт майстерно грає на страхах і невідомості, створюючи відчуття тривоги, яке не покидає до самого фіналу. Персонажі прописані дуже реалістично, і їхні переживання викликають співчуття, а іноді й страх. Книга змушує задуматися про темні сторони людської природи та наслідки необдуманих рішень. Рекомендую всім, хто любить трилери та жахи - "Руїни" точно не розчарують!
