U. G. (Yuji) Krishnamurti (1918–2007) is the most radical and shocking teacher who does not fit into any existing spiritual and secular frameworks and ideas. At the age of 49, he underwent a monumental mutation that spectacularly changed his perception, the functioning of all his senses and the physiology of his body down to the level of cells and chromosomes. All accumulated knowledge was completely swept away from him, including the idea of an independent “I” and the society opposing it. Yuji argues that the real problem of man is the need to be different from what he is, and this need was imposed on him by culture. He encourages you not to depend on anything. The courage to be yourself is something that no one else can give. If you free yourself from the burden of the entire human past, then all that remains is courage itself.
