The book about Ermak, the conqueror of Siberia, belongs to the pen of the recognized classic of the historical and biographical genre, Ruslan Grigorievich Skrynnikov. Based on a painstaking analysis of extensive documentary material, it recreates a grandiose panorama of the expedition of Russian Cossacks led by Ataman Ermak Timofeevich (1582–1585), which resulted in the annexation of Siberia to the Russian state. There is no doubt that this event became one of the most important in all of Russian history, and Ermak himself is one of the outstanding people of our Fatherland. Книга "Єрмак" Руслана Григоровича Скриннікова є справжнім шедевром історико-біографічного жанру, який глибоко занурює читача в епоху підкорення Сибіру. Автор майстерно відтворює події експедиції козаків під проводом Єрмака, надаючи читачеві можливість відчути всю велич і складність цієї історичної події. Завдяки ретельному аналізу документальних джерел, Скринніков не лише розповідає про військові кампанії, але й показує людські драми, амбіції та боротьбу за виживання в умовах невідомого і небезпечного краю. Книга наповнена яскравими образами, які залишають глибокий слід у свідомості читача. Єдине, що може трохи відволікати, це деякі недоліки перекладу, але вони не зменшують загального враження від книги. Рекомендую всім, хто цікавиться історією Росії та її видатними постатями!
