Averchenko Arkady Timofeevich (1881–1925) – Russian writer, journalist, editor of the magazine “Satyricon”, one of the most famous satirists of the early 20th century. The book includes the author’s collection “Black and White”. Averchenko paints in it a wonderful gallery of images of Russian life.
