This story is related in theme and plot to the first part of the “Waves of the Black Sea” series. The hero already known to us, high school student Petya Bachey, having seen an electrophore machine in a physics lesson, was eager to have the same one for his personal use and conduct experiments with electricity. Together with their friend Gavrik Chernoivanenko, they are going to spend all their savings on this, but the cost of the car turns out to be too high for their meager capital. As a result, the young experimenters were left without a car and without money.
