Evgenia has heard many times that this happens, but she never thought that it would happen to her. However, it happened. And now we had to think about how to live on, how to cope with the melancholy that came so often and so inopportunely. “We are responsible for those we have tamed.” We repeat this phrase of Saint-Exupery so often that it has become worn out, even banal. But there is no other recipe for loneliness than to find a person who is even worse off than you, and help, warm, “tame.” Please with little things: a plate of hot soup in cold weather, a simple Olivier salad on New Year's Eve, freshly washed floors and a decorated Christmas tree. For Evgenia, this became a recipe for melancholy, a cure for loneliness.
