The study is devoted to the work of B. L. Pasternak. The emphasis in the book is on the phenomenon of coexistence of two forms of linguistic expression - verse and prose - within the framework of a single creative system, which in Pasternak is distinguished by the alternation of two forms of literature, which allows us to describe the phenomenon of literary “bilingualism” in an evolutionary aspect. As a result of parallel analysis of poetic and prose texts, the invariants of Pasternak’s individual system are determined and the fullest possible description of his artistic picture of the world is given. In the final part of the book, the artistic system of the author of Doctor Zhivago is compared with some other systems (Pushkin, Lermontov, Nabokov). The book is intended for philologists - literary scholars and linguists, as well as for all those who are interested in issues of artistic communication.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
