The main heroine of the novel, the holy fool Ksenia, bears the features of Ksenia of St. Petersburg, Euphrosyne of Polotsk and Russian female saints - holy fools for Christ's sake. The time of action is modernity, which is written by the author in a biblically powerful, fantastic, timeless manner. Crazy Ksenia connects with herself, like a living bridge, East and West, heals the sick, preaches in squares, ends up in hospitals and prisons, never losing the happy gift of love. This woman fulfills her only purpose on earth - a burning torch in the hand of God. People's misunderstanding of her is tragic, but this is a necessary condition for her fate, a bright celebration of her personality. The picturesque space of the book is a mixture of reality and fantasy. As in a Russian fairy tale, where Ivan the Fool reveals himself to be a sage, blessed Ksenia turns out to be the most loving and wise in the round dance of masks, shadows and monsters. The novel is an attempt by a living heart to break out of the doom of existence to the last bright Truth.
