Ian Watson is one of the largest English writers working at the intersection of science fiction and fantasy and had a significant influence on the development of these genres in the 90s. Suffice it to say that the famous “Imagica” by Clive Barker owes a lot to him.

The action of the novels “Black Stream” about the amazing fate of the girl Yalin takes place in a world divided by a river that cannot be crossed due to the mysterious Black Stream . This river split human civilization into the East, which exists according to the laws of “feminist” democracy, and the West, with a traditional “male” theocracy. These two worlds knew almost nothing about each other until the Black Current, guided by the incomprehensible logic of the inhuman mind, did not allow Yalin to cross the river twice...

"Infiltration" is Watson's first novel published in Russian. Earthly Mind and the alien mind are struggling with the solution of “imbedding”, a certain language matrix “introduced” into the consciousness. But the goals of earthlings and aliens clearly do not coincide.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
