The heroes of the play “Everything is fine with us”: a little Girl, whose life comes down to finding ways to skip school and watch TV, her parents and their friends, who exist without any specific purpose, like winded up dolls. The Director, Actor and Presenter as emblems of modern television and mass culture - all of them “do not live and die without any need.” The starting points of their lives are not what they do, but what they “don’t” do, and what remains outside the negative particle is what is still capable of bringing meaning to their actions. Against this background, the Girl’s grandmother becomes a bizarre remnant of the last century, recalling her military youth in poignant monologues.
