Thaniel Fox is only seventeen years old, but he can rightfully call himself a professional hunter of evil spirits. He is one of those who, risking their lives every night, confronts the monsters and ghosts that have flooded the oldest district of London, preventing them from taking over the entire city. His work is generous with surprises, most of them unpleasant. But when one day while hunting, Taniel met a girl about his age, he could not even imagine that this chance acquaintance would lead him to uncover a terrible conspiracy: the Dark Brotherhood planned to summon into the world the Darkness itself, in comparison with which the living nightmares darting in the London fog, seem to be just minor troubles.
