We are all familiar with the story of the dangerous adventures of the cunning Odysseus, doomed by the Olympian gods to ten years of wandering. The Iliad and Odyssey have been tried to be analyzed, interpreted and interpreted countless times. They were called either allegories, or poetic chronicles of real historical events, or rhymed records of myths. But what are they really?
