A landing armada of seventeen ships is rushing towards an enemy star system. Книга "Острови" – це справжній подарунок для всіх шанувальників наукової фантастики та космічних битв. Автор майстерно створює напружену атмосферу, де кожна сторінка наповнена динамікою та емоціями. Сюжет, що обертається навколо десантної армії, пілотів бойових роботів та шпигунів, захоплює з перших рядків і не відпускає до самого кінця. Джек Стентон, головний герой, виявляється не лише сміливим пілотом, а й лідером, який змушений приймати складні рішення у критичних ситуаціях. Конфлікт між давньою расою гризоттів та каттингами додає глибини сюжету, а також ставить питання про моральність війни та жертви. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, і в ньому можуть бути деякі недоліки, це не заважає загальному враженню від книги.
