Zbigniew Kruszynski has a reputation as one of the most “important”, according to critics, writers of the forty-year-old generation. “On Land and Sea” is an attempt to reflect the realities of today's Polish life through the realities of language. It is through this experimental method that the author tries to comprehend the changes that have occurred in Polish society. His book contains ten stories, ten dissimilar characters and ten linguistic situations reflecting different ways of thinking.
