Neuropharmacology for psychologists" is intended for students of the humanities, primarily for future psychologists.
This discipline is taught to psychologists in senior years, when basic information on physiology is forgotten, so at the beginning of the book you can read about synaptic transmission and the basics of neuroendocrinology, about the possible effects of a substance, a drug and subsequent neuropsychic changes.
Humanities students do not encounter pharmacology, therefore the next section outlines the basics of this discipline (features of the effect of a substance depending on its dose, route of administration, duration of exposure, etc.).
The third part of the book deals with particular neuropharmacology, which is usually covered in textbooks on this discipline. Specific classes and groups of medicinal neurotropic drugs are considered, examples of such drugs are given.
At the end of the book, the basics of narcology are given - general principles, modern classification of narcotic drugs and compounds that cause substance abuse.
