The anthology “Tank of Death” contains some of the most revealing works of Soviet military or “defense” fiction of the late 1920s and 1930s - from children’s propaganda poems to “false” proposals from engineers and inventors, fantasies about easy victories over Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan and gloomy military abstractions.

Антологія «Танк смерті» є справжнім відкриттям для тих, хто цікавиться історією радянської військової літератури. Зібрані твори відображають дух часу, в якому вони були написані, і показують, як фантастика використовувалася як інструмент агітації та патріотизму. Читання цих творів дозволяє зануритися в атмосферу 1920-1930-х років, коли уявлення про майбутні війни та технології були ще на стадії формування. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які можуть виникати через використання штучного інтелекту, загальна якість тексту залишається високою, і це не заважає насолоджуватися змістом. Рекомендую цю антологію всім, хто хоче краще зрозуміти радянську культуру та її уявлення про війну і технології!
