“Earthly Happiness” is a continuation of the “Fourth Beta” cycle, it features the same characters: Maran, Dan, Nika and others. The first part of the novel is devoted mainly to the love story of Maran and the earthly girl Naya; it turns out that there are deep differences in intimate life on Earth and Toren, and although earthlings and Torenians belong to the same biological species, the unity of biology does not at all imply the unity of culture. However, the vicissitudes associated with the “interstellar romance” do not interfere with the preparation of the expedition to Edura. It is assumed that Edura is also inhabited by people, and so it turns out, but Edura society, which at first glance appears peaceful, calm and simple-minded, also has its own secrets.

«Земне щастя» - це продовження циклу «Четверта Бети», яке не лише розширює межі всесвіту, але й поглиблює розуміння людських відносин. Автор майстерно поєднує елементи наукової фантастики з романтичними перипетіями, що робить книгу надзвичайно цікавою для читача. Історія Марана та Наї вражає своєю щирістю та глибиною, адже автор показує, як культурні відмінності можуть впливати на інтимні стосунки. Персонажі, які вже стали рідними, знову радують своїм розвитком, а нові елементи сюжету, пов'язані з експедицією на Едуру, додають інтриги. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, це не зменшує загального враження від книги. Я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто любить наукову фантастику з емоційною глибиною та складними персонажами. Чекаю на наступну частину!
