In the novel “Forget the Past,” the well-known heroes of the books “The Fourth Beta” and “Look for the Mountains,” Dan, Maran and others, appear again. A meeting with an incomprehensible civilization on the planet Palevaya turns out to be a difficult test for the participants of the earthly expedition and almost ends tragically, but, in the end, thanks to the insight of Maran, the mysteries of Palevaya can be solved. And on a new visit to Torena, the fourth Beta, Dan discovers that there are secrets here too, which until now have not only not been revealed to him, but also, one might say, unnoticed.
