Автор майстерно відтворює епоху, описуючи не лише політичні події, але й людські емоції, страхи та надії. Сюжет розгортається навколо молодого дворянина Львова, чия доля стає символом боротьби за виживання в жорстокому світі, де кожен крок може стати фатальним. Персонажі прописані дуже детально, а їхні переживання викликають співчуття та співпереживання. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно впливають на загальне враження, книга залишається вражаючою та вартою уваги. Рекомендую всім, хто любить історичні романи з елементами драми та політики!
