The textbook is built on the basis of training programs for students of medical universities in Ukraine, Belarus and Russia and programs of pre-certification cycles in psychiatry, child psychiatry and narcology. All main sections of diagnostics, differential diagnosis, therapy of mental disorders, including psychotherapy, and also history of psychiatric science. For the first time, the manual includes chapters on the analysis of patient behavior and speech, ethnic psychiatry, and describes the features of doctor-patient communications and psychopathology associated with extrasensory perception. All sections are illustrated with case histories. Diagnostic scales are included in the appendix.
