Giordano Bruno was born in 1548. An Italian philosopher, scientist and poet, he fearlessly spoke about his understanding of the universe. The Church could not ignore such free-thinking. Giordano Bruno was forced to leave his native Italy. Upon returning to Rome, Bruno was immediately captured by the authorities and accused of heresy and freethinking. After eight long years of imprisonment, on February 17, 1600, Giordano Bruno was burned at the stake. The work “The Expulsion of the Triumphant Beast” most clearly reflected the spiritual appearance of Giordano Bruno. Here the author’s ardent preaching nature was most freely and fully reflected, and in the dramatic presentation of the dialogues the preaching of a new religion of humanity most naturally resulted, a sermon that placed Bruno on the historical brink as the creator and inspirer of a new philosophy and culture. Through the mythological plot, Bruno ridicules the insignificance of the moral foundations of his contemporary society.
