Each of them loved their homeland and served it. And everyone understood this love and this service in their own way. During their lifetime, their names were cursed in Soviet Russia, the policies they pursued were considered “anti-people”... They went down in history as White generals: Denikin, Wrangel, Krasnov, Kornilov, Yudenich. Now that the civil war is considered the greatest tragedy of our people, leading military historians countries presented a selection of essays about the most famous white generals, talented military leaders, capable administrators, who at the beginning of the 20th century tried to lead their beloved Russia in a different direction, fought against external aggression and internal turmoil, and when they were defeated, exchanged military weapons for pen and paper. The proposed work will help the reader to take an objective look at the distant past of our Motherland, which has not gone away without a trace. On the contrary, much of modern life reminds us of those tragic and heroic years.

The book “White Generals” is a unique and first attempt to objectively show and comprehend the life and work of outstanding Russian military officers: Denikin, Wrangel, Krasnov, Kornilov, Yudenich. The fate of most of them was tragic, and their thoughts were not destined to come true. But the authors do not call us to judge history and its characters. They invite us to understand the feelings, thoughts, and actions of their characters. We all need this, because history often repeats itself.
