Vostretsov, A. I. Gekker, O. I. Gorodovikov, P. E. Dybenko, A. I. Egorov, S. S. Kamenev, N. D. Kashirin, A. I. Korke , G. I. Kotovsky, F. K. Mironov, I. L. Sorokin, L. D. Trotsky, M. A. Tukhachevsky, I. P. Uborevich, I. F. Fedko, M. V. Frunze, V I. Chapaev, V. I. Shorin, attention is also paid to the ally of the Reds - N. I. Makhno. Of all the heroes of the book, only three were able to survive the Stalinist repressions and the years of the Great Patriotic War.
