Joseph Rudyard Kipling (1865–1936) is a classic of English literature, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1907, who owes his fame primarily to the romance that permeates his poetry collections; one of the most popular English writers who had a strong influence on public opinion in Western countries. The first volume of his collected works included the novel “Kim” (1901), written by Kipling at the height of his fame and which is a kind of farewell word addressed to India, and the collection of stories “Three Soldiers” ”, dedicated to the “builders of the empire” - ordinary people in soldier’s uniforms, privates of the colonial army.
